When we see the world around us. We observe a lot of stressed and depressed people around us. It really amazing, when we find someone just happy without any reason. Either we call them MAD or ask the question, Why are you happy? It is strange when we see the sad and depressed face we don’t ask this? With the changing trend being stressed and depressed is OBVIOUS. We humans true nature is to be happy. That’s Obvious. Have we accepted that being angry, sad, jealous or guilty is OK? What message are we sending to our SUBCONSCIOUS MIND?

Our brain has the superpowers. It makes all thoughts come true on which we FOCUS on. You will definitely disagree with me. But I can prove you. For example, you would have heard people, they say, I don’t want to be late. Note they are always late. why are they late because they focused on being late. People use this vocabulary I want to lose weight. Are unable to do so or they weight bounces back. Today everyone says I m stressed. I m tensed. even a five-year-old is depressed. that the reason no one is happy. The LAW OF ATTRACTION works to put in the situation where you are stressed or depressed.

Let understand the concept of being Happy. Different people have a varied opinion about being happy. Just like these, Olivia Newton says ” I m happy and I think being happy keeps you looking young”. Mandy Hale says ” Happiness is inside job. Don’t assign anyone that power over your life.” Woody Allen says “ The talent of being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have.” Mother Teresa says ” Be happy at the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more”.

There is a science which talks about keeping your happy.

Being happy is different from having POSITIVE THOUGHTS all time. So this science says what may be the situation is. At this moment, you may be sad,
irritated, angry, guilty so on. A person may lift its emotion to the state of being happy is called as HAPPY-OLOGY. In short, the science of being happy. This is an everyday practice, doing the small thing what makes you happy. Happiness is not the permanent state in which we can stay. It could be achieved by doing small humdrum things every day.

For being Happy there are few hormones responsible in our body. These are neurotransmitters which create the state of happiness. When we are in the state of any negative emotions. Our body releases cortisol and adrenaline. These two hormones are responsible for a few things. Adrenaline increases the blood pressure and heart rate. While on the other hand cortisol increases the blood sugar in the bloodstream suppressing the immune system and digestion. If we are a state of tension, anxiety for a long time. We are prone to fall sick to autoimmune diseases. So it is important to understand how to restore our body with happy hormones.

Let we which are these happy neurotransmitters. These are Endorphins, Dopamine, Serotonin and Oxytocin. Let understand the functions one by one.

1) Endorphins– This hormone is also called Natural Pain Killer or Pain Management hormone. In our ancestors, it was generated to keep them running as an escape from predators. Today, we generate it by doing exercise or anaerobic exercise. This helps us to keep moving. That is why the people running, going gym or doing weight exercise tear down a lot of tissue but still continue because of endorphins. You may fee that pain right away later you feel it.

Laughter is a good way of generating endorphins. Spend 30minutes of exercising every day. Read or watch funny stuff to increase the level of endorphins.

2) Dopamine– Dopamine is the pleasure hormone. Known as the motivational system or reward system of the body. It helps you attain your goals. Motivates to strive hard for the achieving set targets. It makes mind alert and focused. We can generate the dopamine by setting goals, targets, milestones for ourselves. Have you ever noticed some people keep on learning new things or acquiring new skills why? this creates the sense of achievement in them. As a result, they are happy.

In life journey, dopamine is released when you accomplish the small and big task. when you are recognized or appreciated for the work. This also explains why many housewives are unhappy? they are rarely get acknowledged or appreciated for their work.

3)Serotonin – Serotonin influences the mood and behaviour of the person. It helps you keep away from depression. It is released when we act in a way that benefits others. When we transcend ourselves and give back to others or to nature or to society. That why lots people do social work without any pay. Certain social work is not captured in the media too. But they still continue doing it. Providing useful information on the internet like writing information blogs, answering the question on Quora or Facebook also releases the serotonin.

4) Oxytocin– Oxytocin is the love hormone. It increases the feeling of love and trust. it is realised when we become close to another human being. During intimacy, childbirth, breastfeeding or showing affectionate physical contact, like hugging. When we hug our friends, spouse, kids, family Oxytocin is released. The Jadoo is Jhappi from Munna Bhai does really work. Similarly, when we shake hands or put arms someone’s shoulders, various amount of Oxytocin is released.

For being Happy-ology start doing small baby steps to love yourself and people around you. This will improve the relationship at all levels. So it is simple, we have to exercise every day to get Endorphins. We have to accomplish little goals to get Dopamine. We need to be nice to urself and to others to get Serotonin. Finally, hug our kids, families to get Oxytocin. We will be happy. When we will be happy we can sort our problems and challenges better. this will create BALANCE AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE.
